"Realm of Unrest" is an immersive first-person horror adventure game that blends the mystical arts of alchemy and necromancy with the realities of modern university life. As a group of students, players unknowingly unleash a sinister entity during a late-night study session. What follows is a desperate struggle to undo their mistake, uncover the dark secrets of their academic institution, and ultimately face the horrors they have set free. Complex puzzles, eerie environments, and immersive gameplay await—will you escape the grasp of the Ether Realm, or become lost in its void forever?

My Role in "Realm of Unrest"
As part of the artist team, I worked on both 3D and 2D assets, contributing to the game's visual identity and storytelling.
3D CHARACTER & CREATURE DESIGN
I was responsible for creating both human characters and creatures, shaping their appearance and ensuring they fit seamlessly into the eerie world of Realm of Unrest. I sculpted high-detail models in ZBrush, bringing the game's characters and creatures to life. After the sculpting process, I carried out retopology and UV unwrapping in Autodesk Maya to optimize the models for real-time rendering. For realistic clothing and fabric simulation, I used Marvelous Designer, adding an extra layer of detail to the characters. Finally, I textured the models in Substance 3D Painter, ensuring they had a polished and atmospheric look that matched the game's horror aesthetic.

2D CUTSCENES & ILLUSTRATIONS
To enhance the game's storytelling, I illustrated key cutscene elements in Procreate. I created hand-drawn characters in various poses and emotions, ensuring expressive and immersive storytelling. These illustrations were used to depict important narrative moments, blending seamlessly with the game's dark and mysterious atmosphere.

GRAPHIC DESIGN & WORLD-BUILDING
A key part of the game's immersion was the fictional Trismegistos University, where the story takes place. To expand on this world, I created visual assets that brought the setting to life. I designed logos for the university’s different degree programs, making them feel like a real academic institution.
